There’s no place like home!

Last night, after nearly 12 hours of travel, the kids and I returned home after 12 days of travel. (My husband joined us on day 4.)

We saw history come alive, took in some baseball, and ate some delicious food in Boston and relaxed as well as played hard at the Tyler Place, a family camp of sorts, in Vermont.

It was a great way to kick off the summer.

But after 6 flights in total (two for each destination and three of which had some major delays), as my nine-year-old crawled under his own covers at home last night just after midnight, he started giggling.

“Aaaah! This is great!!!” He said, as he snuggled down under the sheets.

“It’s great to be here,” He said.

I couldn’t have said it better.

After a glorious vacation, it STILL is always wonderful to get back home and sleep in your very own bed.
